A two-day workshop, ASCEND 2025, was organised by KRUU on July 19-20, 2025, in Dehradun. The workshop was attended by KRUU SPOC Ms. Aarti Vohra and Dr. Anupriya Narang of Darshan Academy, Delhi, along with 22 participants from across North India, and aimed to foster innovation, leadership, and the integration of AI in education.
The day began with a powerful theatre session by Varun Aiyar, which encouraged creative thinking and experiential learning. This was followed by a thought-provoking online masterclass on AI and education, delivered by the president of AI Vancity, Paris, offering global perspectives on AI’s role in future education. Participants then visited the Forest Research Institute (FRI) in Dehradun for an immersive experience, enriching their understanding of environmental and heritage education. The next day started with an inspiring session by Mr. Anil Srinivasan, Founder of KRUU, on “The Future of AI in Education.” Participants then took on a project challenge titled “Build Your Own AI School,” promoting collaboration and futuristic thinking in school design.
The hospitality of the KRUU team was exceptional and greatly enhanced the experience. ASCEND 2025 was a transformative platform that empowered educators to rethink education and confidently adopt innovation.
