Darshan Academy, Delhi, organised a twin celebration of the House Investiture and Valedictory Ceremony 2026–27 with great enthusiasm and grandeur. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising the pursuit of knowledge, wisdom, and enlightenment, and was followed by the Head of the School, Ms. Mamta Sabharwal, delivering the welcome address. A mesmerising dance performance, “Navodaya,” was thoughtfully prepared and presented under the guidance of the Dance In-charge, Ms. Rhythm, beautifully portraying the spirit of new beginnings, fresh hopes, and aspirations.
The highlight of the ceremony was the March Past and Oath-Taking Ceremony, during which the newly elected student leaders of the Compassion, Empathy, Peace, and Service Houses proudly took the oath of office. The Head Boy, Head Girl, Vice Head Boy, Vice Head Girl, Discipline Captains, Secretaries, House Captains, and Vice Captains were formally honoured with badges and sashes, marking the beginning of their leadership journey. The leaders and House In-charges were also felicitated for their dedication and commitment.
The occasion was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Shri Sunil Kumar, an accomplished international Taekwondo player and a five-time gold medallist at the All-India University Taekwondo Championship. Having represented India at prestigious international championships, he inspired students with his remarkable journey of dedication, discipline, and perseverance. His motivational address encouraged the young leaders to embrace challenges with confidence and strive for excellence.
The Valedictory Ceremony celebrated the remarkable achievements of students in the Inter-DA Essay Writing Competition and Inter-DA Quest Olympiad. The winners of the Cultural and Sports House Trophies were also felicitated for their outstanding performance, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Peace House, under the guidance of its House In-charge, Ms. Ritika Kapoor, was declared the Overall Cultural Champion. At the same time, Compassion House, led by its House In-charge, Ms. Monali, emerged as the Overall Sports Champion for the session 2026–27, reflecting their exceptional dedication, teamwork, and consistent excellence throughout the year.
The programme was successfully coordinated by the Program In-charges, Ms. Reenu Bindra and Mr. Sanjesh, and concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks from the Senior Wing Coordinator, Ms. Bhavna Arora.
