An engaging and enriching session on the performing arts, an orientation on Rashtriya E-Pustakalaya (ReP), poetry recitation techniques, and voice modulation was organised by the National Book Trust (NBT), India, at Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, on August 6, 2026.
The Reading Club students of Darshan Academy, Delhi, had the valuable opportunity to visit NBT and participate in this informative programme. The session was highly interactive and captivating, providing students with practical exposure to expressive reading, poetry recitation, and effective voice modulation techniques. The resource persons demonstrated various strategies to improve pronunciation, rhythm, expression, confidence, and stage presentation, which greatly enhanced the students’ learning experience. The orientation on Rashtriya E-Pustakalaya (ReP) introduced students to the digital reading platform and its rich collection of multilingual e-books and learning resources. The session encouraged students to develop stronger reading habits and make meaningful use of digital library resources for academic and personal enrichment.
The students attended the programme with great enthusiasm and actively participated in the activities conducted during the session. Their keen involvement reflected their interest in literature, reading, and creative expression. During the visit, students also explored the NBT Library, where they were introduced to its extensive and diverse collection of books. This exposure helped them appreciate the importance of libraries as centres of knowledge, imagination, and lifelong learning.
The students were accompanied by Dr. Mamta Amarpuri, Senior Librarian and In-charge of the Reading Club, along with Ms. Bharti, Teacher In-charge of the Junior Reading Club. The visit was conducted under the guidance and extended support of Ms. Mamta Sabharwal, Head of School. The programme proved to be a meaningful learning experience that strengthened students’ reading skills, literary appreciation, communication abilities, and confidence in public expression.
