On February 28, students of grade 8, Darshan Academy, Delhi, held a special assembly to remember the Indian physicist Chandrashekhar Venkata Raman, who discovered the Raman effect. The day began with an introduction of Dr. C.V. Raman, followed by speeches. Students from std. V to IX participated in quizzes, a debate, a profile-making competition and innovative projects. Students disguised themselves as famous scientists from various fields. Certificates were distributed to the winners of competitions. It was indeed a very knowledgeable day in which the main motive was to spread a message about the importance of science.
