Independence Day

On the occasion of 78th Independence Day, Darshan Academy, Delhi celebrated a special assembly filled with patriotism, enthusiasm, and pride.
The assembly began with the hoisting of the National Flag by our honourable Head of the School Ms. Mamta Sabharwal, accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem. The atmosphere was charged with national pride as the tricolour fluttered in the morning breeze.
Students delivered speeches on the significance of Independence Day, reflecting on the values of freedom, democracy, and the responsibilities of being an Indian citizen. Their words resonated deeply with the students, reminding everyone of their duty towards the nation.
Students showcased traditional and contemporary dance forms prepared by Ms. Shipra and Ms. Harpreet Kaur Khurana, celebrating the diverse culture of India and the sacrifices made by the soldiers for our nation. Music teacher Mr. Pawan and the school choir group sang a patriotic song, which evoked a strong sense of national pride among the audience.
The assembly concluded by Ms. Mamta Sabharwal highlighting the importance of Independence Day and urging students to reflect on the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. The speech also encouraged students to contribute positively to the nation’s growth. The assembly ended with the rendition of “Jai Hind Jai Bharat,” leaving everyone with a renewed sense of patriotism. After the assembly, the younger students moved to the school grounds for a vibrant Kite Flying activity. During lunch time students enjoyed the variety of  tri-colour foods.
