National Science Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Darshan Academy, Delhi, to commemorate the discovery of the Raman effect by Nobel Laureate C. V. Raman. The celebration began with a special assembly where students presented articles, news updates, poems, quizzes, and live scientific demonstrations, highlighting the importance of science in everyday life. Physics PGT Mr. S. K. Jha delivered an insightful address on the Raman effect and its applications in medical diagnostics, forensic science, materials research, and the pharmaceutical industry. The HOS, Ms. Mamta Sabharwal, also addressed the gathering and encouraged students to nurture curiosity, scientific thinking, and a spirit of innovation.
Observed every year on February 28, National Science Day aims to promote scientific temper and innovation among students. The programme concluded with an engaging quiz session and experimental demonstrations, inspiring students to develop logical thinking and a scientific attitude. The celebration was a grand success, fostering creativity and scientific awareness among young minds.
