The Central Board of Secondary Education launched a two-day training program viz. Training of Trainers Certification Course (TOT) for school heads and teachers in collaboration with the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM) under the Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievance and Pensions on 23 and 24 August 2024 at the ISTM administrative Block.
The pilot program of the curriculum was launched on Friday, 23 August 2024 with the signing of MOU between CBSE and ISTM in the presence of Shri Rahul Singh-CBSE Chairman, Mr Himanshu Gupta, Secretary-CBSE, Ms Chhavi Bhardwaj, Joint Secretary (Training), Department of Personnel and Training, Mr Manoj Srivastava, Director (Training) CBSE and Mr Rajiv Manjhi (Director-ISTM).
28 heads and teachers were shortlisted and nominated by CBSE for the above course from Delhi and NCR after the strict scrutiny of personal interview and presentation. Ms Bhavna Arora, Senior Academic Coordinator from Darshan Academy, Delhi was among the first 28 nominated Heads/ Teachers for this pilot training course that comes in line with the NEP 2020.
Shri Rahul Singh-Chairman CBSE showed his confidence in the course that is designed by merging the core components of Direct Trainers Skill (DTS) and Design of Training (DoT) and the integrated approaches to child and adolescent development. CBSE Chairman, in his speech, emphasized the need to empower schools to transition towards new age learning mechanisms that closely reflect the future of work. CBSE has taken this initiative to achieve training standards and quality of education.
