A Vegetarian Fest was organized at VIB on July 31, 2025, to celebrate and promote the benefits of a healthy, plant-based diet—the event aimed to spread awareness about healthy eating habits, sustainability, and compassion towards animals. Students were encouraged to bring plant-based/vegan healthy ingredients to prepare dishes in class. The classroom was transformed into a vibrant food stall setup, where students showcased their creativity by creating colourful, healthy recipe booklets and various Indian and international vegetarian delicacies, such as veg rolls, salads, fruit bowls, sandwiches, shakes and desserts.
The event began with a brief introduction about vegetarianism and its impact on health and the environment. Students gave short presentations on topics such as the nutritional value of plant-based diets, the environmental benefits of reducing meat consumption, and famous vegetarians from around the world. The Vegetarian Fest was a grand success. It not only encouraged students to explore healthy food choices but also fostered teamwork, creativity, and awareness about sustainable living. The enthusiasm and participation of students made the event both educational and enjoyable.
