Young Warrior NXT Life Skills Training Initiative

In collaboration with UNICEF, YuWaah, and Udhyam Learning Foundation, CBSE launched a month-long Life Skills Training Initiative for students of classes IX & XI in January & February 2022 to empower them with essential 21st-century life and employability skills. Under the Initiative, 1 Master Trainer, Ms. Bhavna Arora, among 40 MTs from other schools and 5 teacher trainers, Ms. Anshu, Ms. Sakshi Sehgal, Ms. Amrit Kaur, Ms. Ritika and Ms. Farah, were short-listed from Darshan Academy, Delhi among 600 teachers from different CBSE schools with all the students belonging to grades IX and XI of their respective schools.

During the programme, students were introduced to one life skill every week and practiced tasks related to that skill on a WhatsApp Chatbot. Technology has become the most optimal way to impart education in the current circumstances. Many parents had apprehension about allowing their children to use mobile phones for too long. We encouraged parents to welcome this new mode of learning. While they use the Chatbot, monitoring students could resolve this apprehension. Parents were encouraged to motivate students to learn new skills that would help them across all aspects of life.

After the month-long training sessions, we emerged as winners once again. Ms. Bhavna Arora was one among the other 12 out of 40 master trainers who got the recognition of excellence in the Young Warrior NXT Life Skills initiative. Similarly, two teachers, Ms. Anshu Chopra and Ms. Sakshi Sehgal, received certificates of excellence for completing maximum tasks by their students. The other two, Ms. Ritika and Ms. Amrit, and their students received certificates of participation in this prestigious, informative and very captivating initiative which was thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated by all, especially our students as Young Warriors.
