80th Independence Day and Valedictory Ceremony

Darshan Academy, Delhi, celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with immense enthusiasm, patriotic fervor, and a deep sense of national pride. The occasion was organised as a twin ceremony, combining the Independence Day celebration with the Valedictory Ceremony. The celebration was graced by Chief Guest Shri Raja Iqbal Singh, Former Mayor of Delhi, along with Mr. Hardeep Singh, Senior US Taxation, ICC, KPMG Global Services Pvt. Ltd., Guest of Honour Mr. Aniket Gupta, 6th Dan Black Belt, Degree Holder and Internationally Certified Kata & Kumite Coach, Special Guest Dr. Priyanka Pandey Gaula, Dental Surgeon and Owner of Riddhi Dental Clinic, Special Guest Mr. Himanshu Kapoor, Senior Manager – Product Development (Consumer), Beetel Teletech Limited, C/o Bharti Airtel Limited, and LM Committee Member Mr. Rakesh Sir.

The Head of School, Ms. Mamta Sabharwal, warmly welcomed the dignitaries, parents, teachers and students and expressed her gratitude for their presence and wholehearted support. In her address, she highlighted the significance of Independence Day and reminded the students that true freedom comes with responsibility, discipline and respect for the nation. She also appreciated the collective efforts of the school staff, students and parents in making the celebration meaningful and memorable.

The cultural programme showcased the students’ talent through patriotic songs, dance performances, inspiring speeches and a special presentation on freedom fighters. A special highlight of the celebration was the parents’ wholehearted support. Their presence and encouragement reflected the strong partnership between parents and the school in nurturing confident, responsible and compassionate citizens.

The programme concluded with the Valedictory Ceremony and Vote of Thanks by the Academic Coordinator, Ms. Monika Sachdeva. In her address, she expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the esteemed guests for gracing the occasion and encouraging the students. She acknowledged the valuable support and guidance from the school leadership, as well as the sincere efforts of the teachers and staff in making the celebration a grand success. She also appreciated the students’ enthusiastic participation and the parents’ constant encouragement. Her words beautifully summed up the spirit of the celebration, leaving the gathering with a sense of gratitude, pride and togetherness. The celebration was a memorable occasion that brought the entire school community together in the spirit of unity, gratitude and patriotism, reaffirming Darshan Academy’s commitment to nurturing responsible, compassionate and peace-loving citizens.
