Earth Day

On April 22, 2025, Class XII C conducted a special assembly to commemorate World Earth Day, focusing on this year’s theme of environmental protection and sustainability. The assembly began with an inspirational thought that emphasized the importance of caring for our planet. An insightful article was presented highlighting the significance of Earth Day, the current environmental challenges, and the small actions individuals can take to make a big difference. A soulful song dedicated to Mother Earth was performed by the students, spreading a message of love and gratitude for nature. The highlight of the event was the sapling plantation activity, where students pledged to contribute to a greener future by planting and nurturing trees.

Ms. Bindu shared her insight on the importance of youth-led initiatives in environmental conservation. She highlighted how small, consistent efforts, such as waste segregation, reducing plastic use, and planting trees, can lead to significant changes. Ms. Mamta Sabharwal, the head of school, addressed the gathering with an encouraging message. She appreciated the students’ efforts and emphasized that true learning lies in connecting with nature and taking real-life actions. She urged everyone to adopt an eco-conscious lifestyle and inspired students to become guardians of the Earth, living in harmony with the environment.

The assembly served as a gentle reminder that each one of us has a role in preserving the Earth for future generations. It concluded with a powerful message: “The Earth does not belong to us; we belong to the Earth.”
