Darshan Academy, Delhi, embarked on a journey of learning with its new nursery class orientation. The orientation program for parents of nursery students was held on March 29, 2024. This program aimed to acquaint parents with the school’s ethos, curriculum, and approach to early childhood education. Ms. Mamta Sabharwal, Head of the School, welcomed the parents. An introduction to the school’s mission, vision, core values, awards, and achievements was provided by Ms. Monika Sachdeva, the academic coordinator, who set the tone for the informative session ahead. All the teachers of the pre-primary department presented an overview of the curriculum framework. They discussed key learning objectives, teaching methodologies, events and assessment practices, providing parents valuable insights into their child’s educational journey. Through a video presentation, parents were given a guided tour of the school’s facilities, including classrooms, activity room, labs, library and sports facilities. There was an element of surprise and fun for the parents to make the session interesting and joyful. The program ended with an interactive question and answer session, facilitating open communication between parents and school faculty.
