Workshop on Methodology

The 3-day National Workshop for Foundational Stage Teachers and Coordinators was inaugurated recently. The workshop, organized by Darshan Education Foundation, began on June 26, 2023. The inaugural address was given by Shri. Himanshu Gupta, IAS, Director of Education, Government of Delhi. In his speech, Shri. Gupta emphasized the importance of focusing on the foundational stage of education and its crucial role in shaping a child’s overall development.

 

The main objective of the workshop is to equip teachers with innovative teaching methods and strategies. Topics covered include pedagogical practices, literacy and numeracy strategies, play-based learning techniques, and effective storytelling methods.

 

The workshop brought together 90 teachers and coordinators from Darshan Academies across India. Participants will have the opportunity to share experiences and knowledge, fostering a collaborative environment for professional growth within the educational community. Over the course of three days, various aspects of the foundational stage will be covered, enabling teachers to enhance their teaching practices and achieve exceptional learning outcomes.

 

The inaugural session of the workshop featured a keynote address by Shri Himanshu Gupta, Director of School Education, Govt. of Delhi. Shri AK Sachdeva, President of Darshan Education Foundation, warmly welcomed Shri Gupta and expressed gratitude for his presence. The event began with a meditation video and a brief meditation session, creating a conducive atmosphere for learning and reflection. The students of Darshan Academy, Delhi, added a melodious prayer song to the occasion, bringing a sense of serenity.

Through valuable insights and strategies, the workshop aims to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the holistic development of students.
