Children’s Day

November 14 is celebrated as Children’s Day or Bal Diwas every year in India. The special day is celebrated in remembrance of India’s first Prime Minister, Jawahar Lal Nehru, who was devoted to the welfare, education and development of children and young people. In Darshan Academy, Delhi, Children’s Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Teachers performed a mix of dance, drama, games and songs full of excitement, entertainment, and humour. Educational advisor, Mr. A. David, encouraged students by conducting tricky games. The head of the school, Ms. Mamta Sabharwal, appreciated students with her valuable and motivational speech. All the children were given chocolates as a token of love.
