Rotary Club

Thirty students, of Darshan Academy, Delhi, Interact Club, got an opportunity on Saturday, November 5, 2022, to be honored by the Rotary Club of Delhi Metro. The Club’s clear and sole purpose is to provide humanitarian service and advance goodwill and peace. The program began with a prayer and meditation session followed by an introductory speech by Vice Principal Ms.  Mamta Sabharwal. The welcome dance by the grade XI girls and students of grade VII got a standing ovation from the eminent guests. Then began the pinning ceremony of the student team. After a report read by the school’s president and vice president about the previous projects undertaken jointly with the Rotary, Mr. A. David announced two new projects that would take place in the current session. The first is to create awareness regarding single-use plastic, and the second concerns environmental degradation and poor air quality in Delhi. With a formal vote of thanks presented by the club convenor and senior coordinator of the school, Ms. Bhavna Arora, the program ended with all the members taking oaths to abide by the promise they made to themselves to bring a positive change together in society.
