Kids-O-Festum 2023

In a celebration of creativity and the vibrant hues of childhood, Darshan Academy, Delhi, hosted its annual gala event, Kids-o-Festum on December 1, 2023. The event drew the participation of around 400 children from more than 21 play schools in the vicinity. The lush green environs of Darshan Academy provided a picturesque backdrop for the Inter-School Colouring and Fancy-Dress Competition. The premises were transformed into a kaleidoscope of glittering floral decor featuring balloons and various fur-suiters. The event boasted captivating stalls such as Fill My Tummy, Peace Curriculum, and the Selfie Corner, making it a day filled with fun and frolic for the young participants. Mr. John M. Regeh, Head of Chancery from the Nigerian High Commission, graced the occasion as the chief guest. He praised Darshan Academy, stating that every country should have schools like it, spreading love, peace, and tranquility. Mr. Regeh emphasized that organizing such competitions enables students to bring out the best in themselves, shaping them into global citizens. Overwhelmed, he expressed confidence that their efforts would be rewarded by a higher power. Dignitaries from Darshan Education Foundation, including Mr. Unnikrishnan, Education Officer, Mr. A David, Regional Head, and Mr. Rakesh Sharma, LMC Member, added prestige to the event.

The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Mr. Unnikrishnan, followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting and a welcome song sung by the vibrant Darshanites. Ms. Mamta Sabharwal, Head of School, shared the holistic vision and mission of the school. The event featured captivating performances, including yoga and rope skipping, by the young athletes of Darshan Academy. Teachers and parents enjoyed the occasion, with various games and activities organized for them. The highlight of the day was the distribution of prizes, certificates, gifts, and refreshments to all the winning students. Mr. A. David expressed gratitude in a vote of thanks to all the participants, teachers, parents, and their heads for their initiative in encouraging children to paint the canvas of their dreams with vibrant colors. The Kids-o-Festum was undeniably a great success, providing a day of joy and inspiration for participants and attendees alike.
