A three-day dynamic training camp titled “Praveshika” for students of grades II to VII was organized by DA Delhi and the Hindustan Scouts and Guides Association. Around 110 students participated in this programme.
The inaugural ceremony, marked by the hoisting of the scouts and guides flag by Ms. Mamta Sabharwal, the Head of the School, set the tone for the event. Her motivational speech inspired students to embrace commitment and dedication. The program’s focal points included the Beaver’s Promise, the folding technique of a Cub Scout neckerchief, the history of Scouting and Guiding, awareness about World Scarf Day, building tents for camping, and understanding the Scouts and Guides promise and law.
The comprehensive three-day program significantly contributed to the holistic development of the children, imparting valuable life lessons that steer them towards a path of virtue. The valedictory ceremony honoured newly appointed scouts and guides with scarves and certificates. Ms. Monika Sachdeva, the academic coordinator, orchestrated the entire event seamlessly, leading a dedicated team comprising Ms. Reenu Bindra, Mr. Virender, Mr. Sanjesh, and Ms. Pooja Daksh. Their efficient facilitation of the training program earned them certificates of appreciation. This initiative equipped students with practical skills and instilled a sense of responsibility, preparing them to bring about peace, progress, and prosperity in the world.
